Step inside our Oxford museum for an unforgettable, hands-on experience that blends science, creativity, and therapeutic sensory play.
Every field trip is guided by our expert Slimeologists for an engaging, stress-free adventure your group will love.
Duration: 75–90 minutes
Half the visit is spent exploring and playing in our interactive slime exhibits (including our famous walkable Slime Pool)
The other half is spent crafting your own custom slime creation to take home
General Admission – $19/person

We bring our Slime Science & Therapy Workshop directly to your school, camp, or community program.
Pricing: $299 for up to 15 students, plus $15 per additional student.
Note: Educators/Staff supervising the visit receive complimentary slime sensory play and slime creation experience.

30 minutes of guided sensory slime play with a variety of slime textures and tools.
30 minutes of personalized slime creation (2 oz Cloud Dough slime)

Balance: The remaining balance is due on the day of your visit.

Polymer Properties
Slime is a polymer, a substance made up of long chains of molecules. Its unique properties make it both a liquid and a solid, allowing it to flow like a liquid while maintaining its shape like a solid.
Non-Newtonian Fluid
Slime is a non-Newtonian fluid, which means its viscosity (thickness) changes with the force applied. Squeeze it slowly, and it flows like a liquid; apply pressure quickly, and it behaves like a solid.
Borax, Water, and Glue Reaction
Many slime recipes involve mixing white glue with a borax solution. The borax reacts with the glue’s polyvinyl acetate molecules, creating cross-links that turn the liquid glue into a stretchy, semi-solid slime.
Thermochromic Slime
Some slimes change color with temperature variations due to the presence of thermochromic pigments. This phenomenon is a fun example of thermochromism in materials.
